| A Joyous Announcement |

The most joyous news I have to share with you is that, on August 18th, my wife Wendy and I welcomed our fifth child, Grace Victoria, into the world. (We named her after Mary’s promise to the children in Fatima: "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.") Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes!
For me, the end of summer means heading back on the road to share the good news of the TOB (check out my schedule at christopherwest.com to see if I’m coming to your area this fall). Thanks to many of you, the interest in John Paul II’s TOB continues to grow. We are receiving more and more requests from diocese to help form their priests, seminarians, and other diocesan leaders.
As the state of California faces legislation that will redefine marriage, leaders in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles have called on the TOB Institute for help in educating their people on God’s plan for man and woman. Please pray that hearts and minds will be opened to the liberating message of John Paul II’s teaching and that I will be given a special anointing in delivering these talks at this critical time in California’s history.
The TOB level II course will be offered for the first time from September 28 - October 3. Please keep all of us in your prayers that week. The class has "officially sold out" with 80 previous attendees making the return trip for a deeper immersion in the riches of John Paul’s teaching. However, Black Rock Retreat Center has released a few extra rooms to the Institute. If you were hoping to attend, now is the last chance to register. We can still squeeze a few more in.
This course will spend a significant amount of time diving into the Pope’s "hidden" talks on the Song of Songs and the marriage of Tobias and Sarah. I’ve had the privilege of spending the last year prayerfully meditating on these talks during the writing of my latest book Heaven’s Song (just released this month – see side bar). The mystical riches of these undelivered addresses are truly astounding.
I hope to see many of you on the road in the upcoming months. Please keep all of the Institute speakers, faculty, and staff in your prayers as we embark on this new season of spreading the good news of the TOB.
